Doha, 9 March 2023:  Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) has announced the appointment of Scott Senecal as Deputy General Counsel.

With over 30 years' legal experience, Scott joins QIA from global law firm, Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, where he has worked since 1988, and in many of the firm's offices including New York, London, Hong Kong, Moscow, and Abu Dhabi.

Scott brings a wealth of experience to QIA, having advised on many prominent and high-profile transactions throughout his career, as well as numerous share and bond offerings, and complex financings.

Scott fills the role left by Haywood Blakemore who is set to retire, following 14 successful years as Deputy General Counsel. ​​​
